About Exicity
Exicity makes outdoor escape room games. Instead of being locked in a room for an hour, you play outside — walking through a real city, solving puzzles at real places, following a story from one location to the next.
Everything runs on your phone. There is no guide, no fixed start time and nothing to book. You buy a ticket, get a link by email, and start whenever it suits you.
Our goal
We want to bring activity back into the city: to give people a reason to go outside, spend a couple of hours together away from a screen-shaped table, and work as a team while playing. That is the whole idea — outdoor activity, socialising, and teamwork.
What a game is like
A game takes about one to two hours and a few kilometres of relaxed walking. You go to the starting point shown on the game page, open the link, name your team and begin. Along the way you solve logic and observation puzzles — the kind that make you actually look at a building instead of walking past it — and the story moves forward as you go.
It works best with two to six people sharing one phone, so everyone is looking at the same thing and talking to each other. If a puzzle stalls you, each task has three hints, and the last one simply gives you the answer so a single stubborn clue never ends the day.
Where you can play
Our games run in cities across Austria, Hungary, Romania and Switzerland, each one written for the place it is set in. You can browse every city and game to see what is available near you.
Good to know
- The ticket price is for the whole team, not per person.
- Tickets are valid for a year, so you can buy now and play whenever you like.
- Once you start, you have 72 hours to finish — you can pause and come back another day, and your progress is saved.
- Games are played in daylight, since the locations and clues need to be visible.
- Comfortable shoes and weather-appropriate clothing are all the preparation you need.
For teams and companies
A lot of our players come as a work team, a family or a group of friends. Because there is no schedule to coordinate and no minimum group size, it works well as a team building activity — and we can issue company invoices for tickets on request.
